Poetry Slams and workshops are popping up around the nation. From June to October 1000 writers will grab their moment in the spotlight leading to one National Final at Sydney Opera House and a prize worth AUD20,000, including publishing opportunities and gigs from Byron to Bali and beyond.

Heat Five for South Australia is at Jive. Doors open at 6.30PM and poets sign up at the doors on the night. There is a maximum of 20 poets per heat, so make sure to get there on time!
Poems must be two minutes or under, with no props, no costumes, just you and the power of your words. Two poets chosen by the audience at each of our five South Australian heats will head to the SA Final. At the final, our winner and runner-up will be off to Nationals.
