Get creative with art-making activities and experience sensory-friendly artworks in the 24th Biennale of Sydney. Facilitated by MCA artist educators and Aspect volunteers, this program is designed for autistic children, their siblings and families with the freedom to join structured activities or to set their own pace.
Developed in collaboration with Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect).

Lowered sound volumes and modified lighting
Dedicated quieter space
Relaxed pace and flexible arrival times
Artworks chosen for participants' sensory needs

10.30am: Arrive at the MCA via Circular Quay entrance
10.30-11.30am: Visit Level 1 Galleries while the Museum is closed to the public and participate in creative activities
11am-12pm: Join art-making activities on Level 3
12pm: Program concludes
The MCA is proudly participating in the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Lanyard Scheme. Wearing a Hidden Disabilities Sunflower lanyard or wristband discreetly indicates to people around you, including trained staff, that you may need additional support, time or understanding. The scheme allows people to choose to be visible when they want to be.
