This showcased event has concluded.
'She Didn't Like to throw Things Out' is an exhibition of posters and large scale assemblages by artist Fiona Buckland at The Shop Gallery Glebe, 112 Glebe Point Road, Glebe.
Through the recontextualisation of images and text, Fiona Buckland explores themes as broad as popular culture, feminism, mythology and the ways that we learn and think about art. The show is comprised of collages that have been reconfigured as A1 and A2 commercially printed posters and large scale timber assemblages, constructed of recycled scraps and remnants of pre-internet popular culture.
These arresting and engaging artworks pose questions rather than answer them and invite audiences to engage with them in a playful manner.
