This showcased event has concluded.
Armed with some basic tools (screwdrivers, pliers, and wire cutters) and a little know-how, the children will be encouraged to gently and safely pull things apart to see what's inside in this fun Sydney class!
During the class, we'll get into the basics of tinkering by practicing the skill of intentionally deconstructing old devices, and explore some of the mechanisms of what makes them work. We'll chat about E-waste in Australia and how we can be better manage our own waste, including how we can use reclaimed materials from this process in artistic creations.
This class is suitable for ages 8 to 13 years. Adult accompaniment is not required.
